The New York Times (11/6, Tugend) outlines strategies suggested by financial planners for adult children to help their older parents manage their finances. According to the Times, “Family conversations about money are rarely easy” which is “especially true with older parents who are still relatively capable of managing their lives – and don’t want their children to do it for them.”
