Massachusetts Reaches Settlement With HHS, Justice Department That Is Intended To Stop Discrimination Against Parents With Disabilities.

Bloomberg Law (11/19, Stein, Subscription Publication) reports, The state of Massachusetts has reached a settlement with the Justice Department and HHS that is intended to “stop discrimination against parents with disabilities and provide accommodations and services to help them keep or regain their children.” According to the article, “The federal government found that the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families discriminated against a parent with a developmental disability by denying her accommodations or the ability to benefit from supports and services to take care of her child.”
