New Program Encourages Volunteers to Regularly Share Meals with Holocaust Survivors. The Los Angeles Times (8/3, Kandil, 4.57M) reports the Jewish Federation & Family Services, Orange County launched a program this summer called Meal Partners, which matches volunteers with local Holocaust survivors and encourages them “to share a meal together on a regular basis.” The program is funded through a Department of Health and Human Services grant that was given to the Jewish Federations of North America’s Center for Advancing Holocaust Survivor Care.
