Ohio Cuts Medicaid Costs by Transitioning Elderly from Facilities to Home

August 6, 2017

The Columbus (OH) Dispatch (8/6, Candisky, 453K) spotlights Ohio’s Home Choice program which has transitioned “10,000 elderly, disabled or mentally ill Ohioans who qualify for Medicaid from an institutional setting into a home.” The arrangement “saves the tax-funded health-care program more than half of what it would cost if she were still in a nursing home.”
