Rob Lowe: Family Caregivers Should Admit Difficulties, Seek Help.

January 13, 2019

Rob Lowe, actor, authors an op-ed for USA Today (1/13) saying that the under-reported “mental, physical, and emotional stress of caregiving...has created a vast looming problem for our health care system, yet few caregivers feel comfortable discussing these challenges.” Lowe, who says he cared for his mother through a cancer diagnosis, argues “that millions more American will take on” caregiving for family in the coming decades, and he urges caregivers to admit their own difficulties and seek help throughout the challenging, but rewarding process.
