SD takes pulse of aging population

By 2030, 21.3 percent of the population in South Dakota is expected to be 65 years or older, which would be the largest proportion percentage in history. Earlier this decade, from 2011 to 2015, an estimated 14 percent of South Dakota's population was over the age of 65.
