The National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM) is seeking input from state and local stakeholders to inform the future of transportation coordination. Established by Executive Order, the CCAM is an interagency partnership designed to coordinate the efforts of the federal agencies that fund transportation services for older adults, individuals of low income, and people with disabilities. The CCAM issues policy recommendations and implements supporting activities that facilitate coordination of transportation services provided by human service organizations (e.g., health care providers, transit agencies, Veterans organizations, Centers for Independent Living). These policy recommendations are intended to improve the availability, accessibility, and efficiency of transportation. Examples of coordinated transportation include sharing vehicles among organizations and grouping trips among beneficiaries of two or more programs.
