As the population of older adults continues to grow, more and more are experiencing difficulties in finding and securing safe and affordable housing that meets their needs. In addition, Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in rural areas face unique challenges in meeting the needs of older adults in their regions. Learn more about how AAAs innovate to address these challenges in n4a's upcoming webinar on housing, homelessness and rural aging.
With funding from the Administration for Community Living, n4a fielded a poll on housing and homelessness to assess how AAAs across the country have adapted their programs and services to meet these important needs. The poll and report examine the extent to which AAAs are seeing the impact of housing and homelessness in their communities and what innovative programs and partnerships they have developed to address these issues. The webinar will also highlight the findings of a report based on data from the National Survey of AAAs, which includes the unique circumstances of rural AAAs. Participants will also hear about housing programs developed by the Atlanta Regional Commission in Georgia and White River AAA in Arkansas.
Tune in to learn more about the innovative programs and services that AAAs are developing across the country to address housing and homelessness needs, and to serve their local communities.
