Applications due March 15, 2019
FEMA is now accepting applications for positions on its National Advisory Council. This federal committee that advises the FEMA Administrator on all aspects of emergency management to ensure input from and coordination with state, local, tribal, and territorial governments, as well as the private sector.
All appointments are for a three-year term beginning in September 2019. The 12 open positions will represent the following disciplines.
- Disabilities and Access and Functional Needs (1 representative appointment)
- Elected State Government Official (1 representative appointment)
- Emergency Management (1 representative appointment)
- Emergency Medical Provider [1 Special Government Employee (SGE)]
- Non-Elected Local Government (1 representative appointment)
- Non-Elected State Government (1 representative appointment)
- Public Health (1 SGE)
- Standards Setting and Accrediting [1 representative appointment or Regular Government Employee (RGE)]
- Administrator’s Selection (3 SGEs)
- Ex Officio (1 RGE)
Applications are accepted via mail or email. FEMA will not consider applications, including letters of recommendation, received after March 15, 2019.
