Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Call for Proposals: Healthy Eating Research

This funding opportunity will support research that advances health equity in the areas of nutritional disparities, nutrition, and food security. Three types of grants will be awarded through the Healthy Eating Research program. The goal is to provide the evidence needed to address social determinants of health related to poor diet and related health consequences.
Approximately $2.7 million will be awarded under this Call for Proposals for the three award types. The anticipated allocation of funds:
- $1.4 million in small-scale grants; up to seven grants. Each grant will award up to $200,000 for up to 18 months.
- $640,000 in large-scale grants; up to two grants. Each grant will award up to $320,000 for up to 24 months.
- $640,000 in Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) grants; up to two grants. Each grant will award up to $320,000 for up to 24 months.
Eligible applicants include academic institutions, public entities and private nonprofit organizations, state and local government agencies, and for-profit organizations.
