Volunteers are the backbone of the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), which counsels older adults on their Medicare benefits, and the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP), which helps Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries avoid, detect and report health care fraud. This webinar will highlight the social engagement opportunities offered to older adults through SHIP and SMP—and how SHIPs and SMPs have adapted in response to COVID-19 to ensure older adults can continue to volunteer and engage remotely.
Join ACL projects, the engAGED: The National Resource Center for Engaging Older Adults, the SHIP National Technical Assistance Center and the SMP National Resource Center, for a webinar focused on volunteer opportunities with these two Medicare programs during the COVID pandemic.
