Letters of Intent Seeking Ideas for Enhancing State Approaches to Governing and Financing Early Childhood Education

March 4, 2021

The Early Childhood Governance and Finance Project (ECGF) Project has issued a call for letters of intent (LOIs) to enhance state approaches to governing and financing early childhood education (ECE) systems, with a focus on achieving equitable outcomes for infants and children from birth through age eight, their families, and the ECE workforce.

The ECGF Project anticipates issuing three-year grants to selected state, territory, or Tribal Nation entities with the authority to oversee the ECE system (or key components of the ECE system) and/or to partnerships of state agencies and relevant non-governmental partners (e.g., nonprofits, community-based organizations, advocacy organizations). The project is looking to support states, territories, or Tribal Nations that have already demonstrated commitment to and progress in enhancing their approaches to governing and/or financing their ECE systems.

LOIs are due to the ECGF Project at the New Venture Fund (ECGF@newventurefund.org) by 11:59 pm applicants’ local time on April 5, 2021.

The project is asking that applicants who intend to submit an LOI kindly notify the project by filling out this very brief form here no later than March 22, 2021, 11:59 p.m. your local time. The ECGF project will consider only one applicant or applicant partnership per state, territory, or Tribal Nation
