ACL Webinar 5/21: Navigating Older American’s Act Title III-D During the COVID-19 Pandemic

May 4, 2021

Friday, May 21, 2:00 - 3:00 pm ET

Register for the webinar.

This webinar was rescheduled from April 23.

The Aging Network has always played a vital role in ensuring older adults have access to the supports they need to remain healthy and independent. Yet months of staying home and being less active have taken a toll on the well-being of many older adults. The American Rescue Plan provides new investments in Older Americans Act (OAA) Title III-D programs to help grantees and their delivery networks build additional capacity for and deliver evidence-based health promotion and disease prevention programs.

This webinar will highlight best practices for selecting and delivering evidence-based health promotion and disease prevention programs – including programs delivered in remote and/or in-person, socially-distanced formats. Attendees will hear from three ACL grant recipients about the strategies they are employing to deliver these programs during the pandemic, and the lessons they have learned along the way.

Panelists:

  • Shannon Skowronski, Team Lead, Office of Nutrition and Health Promotion Programs, ACL
  • Megan Stadnisky, Evidence Based Aging Services Coordinator, Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Aging Service
  • Kathryn Zahm, Community Programs Manager, AgeOptions
  • Peggy Tully, Health Education Implementation Coordinator, AgeOptions
  • Erika Saleski, Project Director, MA4 Network/Missouri Association of Area Agencies of Aging
  • Emily Barbee, Field Specialist in Nutrition and Health Education, University of Missouri Extension

The webinar will be recorded. If you are interested in the webinar and cannot attend, please register using the link above. We will send you the recording link via email.
