Amputee Coalition 2022 National Conference Call for Presenters Now Open

Proposals Due March 17

The Amputee Coalition (which operates the National Limb Loss Resource Center) has announced the Call for Presenters is now open for the 2022 National Conference is now open. Themed “Growing Our Community to Shape the Future,” the conference will highlight ways to expand the community in every way. Sign into the Submission Site to submit a proposal by March 17, 2022. 

The Amputee Coalition celebrates its diverse community and aims to fully engage all people living with limb loss and limb difference to build a collective voice on critical issues impacting the community and to elevate the organization’s mission. This year’s conference will have a special focus on health equity, diversity, equity and inclusion, and youth engagement. 

The conference tracks are aligned with the organization’s tenets and pillars and categorized by topics imperative to our communities. The Amputee Coalition's tenets are living well with limb loss, limb loss is not uncommon and is becoming less uncommon every day, and no amputee is alone. The pillars are prevention/education, advocacy, and support.

The mission of the National Limb Loss Resource Center (operated by the Amputee Coalition ) is to reach out to and empower people affected by limb loss to achieve their full potential through education, support, advocacy, and the promotion of limb loss prevention. The National Limb Loss Resource Center programs use both traditional and innovative approaches to educate and inform people with limb loss, their family members, health care providers, policy makers, community members, and the general public about limb loss and limb difference. Resources include information and referral by phone and email, support groups and peer support, educational events, and a national website
