ACL’s Office of Nutrition and Health Promotion Programs is seeking reviewers for the following grant reviews:
- 2023 Empowering Communities to Deliver and Sustain Evidence-Based Falls Prevention Programs
- 2023 Empowering Communities to Deliver and Sustain Evidence-Based Chronic Disease Self-Management Education Programs
Reviewers should have documented expertise in some or all of the following areas:
- Healthy aging
- Health promotion and disease prevention
- Falls prevention programs and education
- Chronic disease prevention and management
- Integrated health care
Reviewers may include individuals from state agencies, community-based aging service organizations, tribes and tribal organizations, research or academic institutions, health care organizations, or other entities interested in the health and well-being of older adults and adults with disabilities.
Reviewers will be responsible for:
- Completing a mandatory one-hour training webinar preliminarily scheduled for January 25, 2023, at 2 PM ET. A recording will be available for those unable to participate during the scheduled time.
- Independently reviewing and scoring 4-6 grant applications between January 25 and February 8, 2023.
- Participating in a teleconference with other reviewers to discuss application reviews. This teleconference is anticipated to take place between February 9 and February 14, 2023.
- Submitting final scores and comments by the deadline.
Non-federal reviewers will receive nominal compensation for completing the tasks above.
