Register for the Social Engagement Virtual Summit.
Registration is now open for the 3rd annual Social Engagement Virtual Summit, hosted by engAGED, the ACL-funded National Resource Center for Engaging Older Adults, and Commit to Connect. This online event will take place over two afternoons on May 9 and 10 from 1:00-4:00 PM ET each day. The Social Engagement Virtual Summit will focus specifically on social engagement of older adults and people with disabilities in rural communities and their family caregivers.
The summit will include keynote addresses from Acting Administrator and Assistant Secretary for Aging Alison Barkoff and U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy. Dr. Julianne Holt-Lunstad, a Brigham Young University professor and researcher, will describe the latest research on social isolation and loneliness.
The summit is free and open to the public. We encourage all organizations and individuals committed to social engagement and connection to register and plan to attend this event. ASL interpretation and live captioning will be provided. Visit the Social Engagement Virtual Summit webpage to review the full agenda.
