White House Virtual Town Hall Event about Holiday Gatherings, Older Adults, and COVID-19 Vaccinations

December 8, 2022

The White House is hosting a special virtual town hall event this week about the importance of all Americans – especially those ages 50 and older – getting an updated COVID-19 vaccine, so families can have protection and peace of mind as they get together for the holidays. The event will feature opening remarks from First Lady Jill Biden, and Q&A with Dr. Ashish Jha and Dr. Anthony Fauci.

This event is part of the Biden Administration’s campaign to urge more Americans – particularly seniors and communities that were hardest hit by COVID-19 – to get their updated COVID-19 vaccine before the end of the year. With winter and holiday gatherings right around the corner, more Americans getting their updated vaccine will help avoid thousands of preventable
COVID-19 deaths.

Date: Friday, December 9, 2022
Time: 11:45 AM ET
