Providing care for a family member or loved one often leaves caregivers with little time for their own needs, including high-quality social relationships. For the nation’s 63 million caregivers, social connection is a fundamental but often unaddressed need.
Join ACL's Commit to Connect initiative for a webinar to learn more about how facilitating peer support can effectively grow the social connections of caregivers. The webinar will feature experts leading innovative programs and services for caregivers and a “carefluencer” with lived experience as a young adult.
Panelists
- Marvell Adams, CEO, Caregiver Action Network
- Julie Lowenthal, Program Coordinator, Gateways Nonprofit Senior Services
- Aisha Adkins, Carefluencer
This event will include CART captioning and ASL interpretation. A recording will be available on the Commit to Connect website after the event. If you have any questions or additional accessibility requests, please email info@committoconnect.org.
The Commit to Connect initiative aims to advance the wellness of the U.S. by empowering older adults and people with disabilities to grow their social connections as a part of their healthy lifestyle.
