Grantee: USAging

Strategy Goal 3: Strengthen services and supports for family caregivers

Project period: Sept. 30, 2023-Sept. 29, 2027

This project focuses on expanding the aging services network’s capacity to innovate and improve person- and family-centered services and supports for caregivers nationwide. Key activities of this initiative include developing pilot site case studies, producing a caregiving action guide series, launching a caregiving innovations hub, and convening a caregiver champion collaborative.

Through these efforts, the project aims to develop strategies for collecting outcomes data, increasing the range and impact of caregiver services and supports, and improving collaboration with experts and associations.

The Caregiver Services and Supports Innovations Hub features replicable programs to assist aging services network organizations with supporting caregivers across various areas, including education and peer supports, kinship care, and respite care. Visitors can also explore the eligibility criteria and submit a program, service, or intervention for consideration.

The National Caregiver Champion Collaborative facilitates peer networking and engagement among professionals who lead caregiver services and supports. Participants will gather regularly to share successful strategies and best practices, discuss lessons learned, explore new partnerships, and get insight into the latest research and emerging evidence-based caregiver programs.
