The Administration for Community Living (ACL) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) fund technical assistance centers that provide information and support on transportation, technology, or disability research. Each center in this list hosts a wealth of information on their website, and many also provide targeted support through grants or one-on-one technical assistance. Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility
The Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility(CCAM) is a federal interagency council that works to coordinate funding and provide expertise on human services transportation. Check out news from the CCAM here.

The Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency (HIRTA)Health Connector programaims to bridge the gap between transportation and health care. The connector program’s goal is to help provide all residents with access to health care options, focusing on those with limited English proficiency, individuals with low income, persons with disabilities, older adults, and veterans.

This new initiative in Monroe County,New York, simplifies public transit access for Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) users. Residents who have EBT cards can now use those cards directly to pay for bus fares, eliminating the need for them to wait for a bus pass.
Technical Assistance Centers
National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC)
Technical assistance center with the mission of promoting “the availability and accessibility of transportation options that meet the needs of older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers.”
The AT3 Center
Provides training and technical assistance on assistive technology (AT). AT is any item, device, or piece of equipment used to maintain or improve the functionality of people with disabilities, allowing them to be more independent in education, employment, recreation, and daily living activities. Examples of transportation AT include lift equipped vans, tie down systems for wheelchairs, or hand controls for driving without pedals.
National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM)
Center that supports partnerships between mobility management agencies and health/human services agencies that provide services to older adults, people with disabilities, and low-income populations.
ADA Participation Action Research Consortium (ADA PARC)
Research collaborative that publishes maps that assist policymakers, community leaders, transportation developers, and state leaders in understanding transportation needs and opportunities for improvement.
National Paralysis Resource Center (NPRC)
ACL-funded center that provides free, comprehensive, informational support for people living with paralysis and their caregivers.
National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC) NIDILRR Program Database
A searchable database of research projects — including those on transportation accessibility — funded by ACL's National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR).
Transportation Technical Assistance Coordination Library (TACL)
Searchable library with over 100 resources from FTA centers.
National Center for Applied Transit Technology (N-CATT)
Center that translates emerging transportation technologies for states and localities across the U.S.
Shared-Use Mobility Center (SUMC)
Organization dedicated to achieving equitable, affordable, and environmentally sound mobility across the U.S. through the efficient sharing of transportation assets.
National Rural Transit Assistance Program (National RTAP)
Program that addresses the training and technical assistance needs of rural and tribal transit operators across the nation and supports state RTAP programs.
