Prioritizing independence, inclusion, well-being, and health throughout life

Aging is a dynamic process, and federal agencies provide vital programs, services, and resources that support the health and well-being of older adults and enable them to participate fully in their communities. The Interagency Coordinating Committee on Healthy Aging and Age-Friendly Communities, authorized by the Older Americans Act, supports federal coordination on aging-related priorities. This coordination will contribute to an America that values older adults, embraces aging, and recognizes that all people have the right to live with dignity, make their own choices, and participate fully in society.
