HSRC Webinar-Housing and Services Partnership Accelerator Webinar Series: Accelerating Housing and Services Partnerships to Advance Housing Stability: Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs)

Session 2: Accelerating Housing and Services Partnerships to Advance Housing Stability: Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs)

On September 24, 2024, HSRC hosted a webinar on accelerating housing and services partnerships to advance housing stability, focused on Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs). A growing number of states are leveraging new opportunities under Medicaid to cover services and supports that help people find, obtain, and maintain their housing. In 2024, the Housing and Services Resource Center (HSRC) launched the Housing and Services Partnership Accelerator (HSPA) to advance innovative state strategies to provide housing-related services and supports to Medicaid-eligible people with disabilities and older adults who are at risk of or presently experiencing homelessness. HSPA has helped eight states and the District of Columbia strengthen collaboration across Medicaid, housing, aging and disability (social care), and behavioral health systems resources and programs.

The fall 2024 HSPA webinar series highlights state innovations and cross-sector collaborations to improve the coordination of housing assistance and wrap-around services and supports as a cost-effective approach to assisting people with disabilities and older adults to transition from homelessness, exit or avoid institutional settings, and live stably in the community.

During this second of three webinars, discover how a local area agency on aging (AAA) in a HSPA state is delivering an array of Medicaid-funded supportive housing services and partnering with their local public housing authority. Presenters will share their model and discuss partnerships, funding, and best practices. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on joining the webinar. The event will include real-time CART captioning and ASL interpreting.

If you need additional accommodations to participate or have questions, please email HSRC@acl.hhs.gov.
