The Administration for Community Living (ACL) and Administration for Strategic Preparedness & Response (ASPR) invite you to join us on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET for "Coordination During Emergencies and Disasters for the Aging Network." This training event is designed to promote strong Older Americans Act (OAA) stewardship practices and support aging network entities as they implement OAA requirements.

The OAA contains provisions pertaining to planning for emergencies and disasters, response, and recovery. Under the OAA, there are specific considerations for state units on aging, area agencies on aging, direct service providers, LTC ombudsman programs, Title VI grantees, and tribal organizations in serving older adults, elders, and family caregivers. This webinar will cover:

  • Resources and technical assistance tools for grantees and subgrantees
  • Flexibilities available during a major disaster declaration
  • Key ASPR resources to support emergency preparedness and response efforts including the Office of Medical Reserve Corps and ASPR TRACIE

ASL and CART services will be provided. If you require additional accommodations to participate, please contact AoA.OAA@acl.hhs.gov.
