The AP (1/9) reports that a bill to provide support to the nation’s 40 million family caregivers is headed to President Trump for signature. The bill was sponsored by Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and would “direct the Department of Health and Human Services to develop a strategy” to reach the goal of providing caregivers “with information and resources to help ease their burden.” The proposal was co-sponsored by Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and enjoyed “broad bipartisan support.”
