The Multi-agency Task Force on Increasing Employment Opportunities for Americans with Disabilities was created in April 2018 to address the chronic unemployment rate of Americans with disabilities. It includes 11 federal agencies that are stakeholders in the employment of people with disabilities:
- The Department of Health and Human Services
- The Department of Labor
- The Department of Education
- The Department of Veterans Affairs
- The Department of Commerce
- The Department of Transportation
- The Social Security Administration
- The Office of Personnel Management
- The Small Business Administration
- The National Council on Disability
- The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
The goal of the Task Force is to achieve a significant increase in the number of disabled Americans entering employment and work toward the complete integration of disabled Americans into the workforce.
