Over the next several months, we’ll be celebrating the accomplishments of ACL's first ten years, exploring the opportunities in front of us and what we’re doing to take advantage of them, and looking ahead to what’s needed to achieve our vision for the future, which includes:
- Community living as the expectation for all people
- True inclusion and integration of older adults and people with disabilities in our communities, and
- The aging and disability networks, stronger than ever, working together to advance both.
On Tuesday, April 26, we gathered virtually to kick things off. In case you missed it, we have posted a recording on our 10th Anniversary Celebration webpage, along with a link to remarks by HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra.
We also published a compilation of some of the most significant milestones, accomplishments, and shaping events from our first decade, as well as some highlights of the work we are doing today.
Watch the anniversary page (and your ACL Updates) for more information. You also can join the celebration on Twitter by following #ACL10.
