ACL’s Lifespan Respite Care Program is designed to improve statewide quality access to respite care services to all family caregivers so that they are supported in their efforts. Lifespan Respite Care programs are coordinated state systems of accessible, community-based respite care services for family caregivers of all ages, disabilities, and conditions. Respite care is planned, unplanned, or emergency temporary care for individuals and offers a break to family caregivers in need.
