Commit to Connect is an ACL initiative that aims to increase the availability of evidence-based programs and services that address social isolation and loneliness by better understanding the current impact programs and interventions have on social connection.
One of the ways Commit to Connect will achieve this is through a new Community of Practice (COP) that will allow multiple networks and organizations to partner with Commit to Connect. The COP will implement the Upstream Social Interaction Risk Screener (U-SIRS) tool within active social engagement programs. COP participants will meet four times between May and August 2023. Members will receive no-cost access to the U-SIRS tool through August 2023 and will learn from a leading researcher and additional guest experts on related topics. The application deadline is March 29, 2023.
