October 13, 2022

October 26, 2022 | 1- 4 PM ET

Register for the training.

The National Paralysis Resource Center (operated by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation) is hosting a training for leaders of support groups for people living with paralysis and their family members and caregivers. This training will provide an introductory overview of support group leadership, with the opportunity for participants to connect with group leaders from across the country to learn from others' experiences. Participants will learn how to help lead effective and meaningful support groups, including how to:

  • Conduct in-person and virtual support groups
  • Encourage open group conversations
  • Lead engaging discussions
  • Keep support groups going

The deadline to register for the training is October 18th. Space is limited — only 70 participants will be able to join. The training will be live-captioned.

Please contact Rebecca Sultzbaugh with any questions.

ACL funds the Paralysis Resource Center to provide comprehensive information for people living with spinal cord injury, paralysis, and mobility-related disabilities and their support networks. Resources include information and referral by phone and email in multiple languages, including Spanish; a peer and family support mentoring program; a military and veterans program; multicultural outreach services; quality of life grants; and a national website.
