ACL Seeks Grant Reviewers for Falls Prevention and Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) Programs

ACL’s Office of Nutrition and Health Promotion Programs is seeking reviewers for the following grant reviews: 

Reviewers should have documented expertise in some or all of the following areas:

  • Healthy aging.
  • Health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Chronic disease prevention and management.
  • Falls prevention.
  • Integrated health care.

Reviewers may include individuals from state agencies (i.e., State Units on Aging or Health Departments), community-based aging service organizations (i.e., Area Agencies on Aging, senior centers, nonprofits), tribes/tribal organizations, research or academic institutions, health care organizations, or other entities interested in the health and well-being of older adults and adults with disabilities. 

 

Reviewers will be responsible for:  

  • Completing a mandatory one-hour training webinar on February 4, 2022, at 2:00 PM ET. A recording will be available for those unable to participate during the scheduled time.
  • Independently reviewing and scoring 4-6 grant applications between February 4-18, 2022.
  • Participating in a teleconference with other reviewers to discuss application reviews. This teleconference is anticipated to take place between February 22-24, 2022.
  • Submitting final scores and comments by the deadline.

Non-federal reviewers will receive nominal compensation for completing the tasks above.
