ACL’s Office of Nutrition and Health Promotion Programs is seeking reviewers for the following grant reviews:
- CDSME: 2022 ACL Empowering Communities to Deliver and Sustain Evidence-Based Chronic Disease Self-Management Education Programs.
- Falls Prevention: 2022 Empowering Communities to Deliver and Sustain Evidence-Based Falls Prevention Programs.
Reviewers should have documented expertise in some or all of the following areas:
- Healthy aging.
- Health promotion and disease prevention.
- Chronic disease prevention and management.
- Falls prevention.
- Integrated health care.
Reviewers may include individuals from state agencies (i.e., State Units on Aging or Health Departments), community-based aging service organizations (i.e., Area Agencies on Aging, senior centers, nonprofits), tribes/tribal organizations, research or academic institutions, health care organizations, or other entities interested in the health and well-being of older adults and adults with disabilities.
Reviewers will be responsible for:
- Completing a mandatory one-hour training webinar on February 4, 2022, at 2:00 PM ET. A recording will be available for those unable to participate during the scheduled time.
- Independently reviewing and scoring 4-6 grant applications between February 4-18, 2022.
- Participating in a teleconference with other reviewers to discuss application reviews. This teleconference is anticipated to take place between February 22-24, 2022.
- Submitting final scores and comments by the deadline.
Non-federal reviewers will receive nominal compensation for completing the tasks above.
