CDC National COVID-19 Vaccination Survey: Child Care and Early Childhood Education Programs
Deadline: March 31, 2021
On March 2, 2021, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) directed states to get all teachers, school staff, early childhood educators, and other early childhood staff their first COVID-19 vaccination by the end of the month. On March 18, HHS expanded eligibility to include home visitors and Part C early intervention programs.
To collect information on attitudes and beliefs about COVID-19 vaccines, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) developed a short survey to learn:
- the estimated number of staff in early childhood education programs who have received a COVID-19 vaccination,
- their reasons for getting vaccinated, and
- what vaccination concerns or challenges people who have not been vaccinated may have.
No personally identifying information will be collected by this survey. The CDC will analyze the responses and share a summary of the results with the Administration for Children and Families and other national organizations.
