Join ACL’s Commit to Connectinitiative for an office hours session to learn from a champion of social connection for older adults and people with disabilities: Kari Johnson, operations manager at 50 Forward Mohawk Valley.
Kari Johnson is a member of Commit to Connect’s Nationwide Network of Champions (NNOC). The NNOC is a free, online platform for individuals and organizations interested in engaging with peers and sharing resources on addressing social isolation and loneliness. This office hour will highlight strategies, models, and programs from 50 Forward Mohawk Valley, specifically their Bill Payer Program to protect older adults from financial fraud through friendly visits, building age-friendly communities, and person-centered planning. Commit to Connect will also share how professionals and volunteers can leverage the NNOC platform to learn from experts and replicate strategies and programs.
