Commit to Connect Office Hours Session With Innovative Social Connection Program FriendshipWorks

Join ACL's Commit to Connect(CTC) initiative for an Office Hours session to learn from Julie Burkley, director of programs with FriendshipWorks. FriendshipWorks is a Boston nonprofit that reduces isolation by connecting volunteers with older adults for social support to reduce elder social isolation. Julie will be discussing and answering questions on three FriendshipWorks programs featured on CTC’s Social Engagement Innovations Hub:

  • Friendly Helping Program 
  • Friendly Visiting Program
  • Medical Escort Program 

Office Hours are 30-minute virtual events featuring subject matter experts on best practices, strategies, and model programs to increase social connections.

This event will include CART closed captioning and American Sign Language interpreting. The Office Hours session will be recorded and shared publicly after the event. If you have any questions or additional accessibility requests, please email info@committoconnect.org.
