Understanding how to manage money is crucial to financial independence. Join the Disability Employment Technical Assistance Center (DETAC) to learn about Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) accounts, tax-free savings and investment accounts owned by people with disabilities. In this webinar, the ABLE National Resource Center will review eligibility requirements, contribution limits, and how ABLE funds can be used. Webinar speakers will also highlight innovative strategies Kansas used to increase awareness and adoption of ABLE accounts, which can be a model for other states. Finally, an individual will describe how she uses her ABLE account to help her succeed at work and live independently in the community.

Live captions and ASL interpretation will be available. Registrants can note additional accommodation needs during registration. The webinar recording and materials will be posted on the DETAC website.

The ACL-funded DETAC provides evidence-based training and technical assistance to grantees to improve competitive integrated employment and economic outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
