Join engAGED: The National Resource Center for Engaging Older Adults (administered by the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging) and the National Alliance for Caregiving for a conversation on the findings of a new report, Caregiving in the U.S. 2020. The national study of more than 1,400 caregivers paints a portrait of the state of caregiving in an aging America. C. Grace Whiting, J.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Alliance for Caregiving will highlight insights and outcomes of the report.
More than 53 million Americans are caring for a friend and family member—roughly 9.5 million more individuals than when last examined in 2015. Communities in the midst of the global pandemic are now grappling with social isolation—and data shows that 21 percent of caregivers of adults reported feeling alone—it's up to innovators and aging leaders to find new solutions to address isolation in homes, communities, and states.
