The National Paralysis Resource Center (operated by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation) recently launched a virtual support group program for people living with paralysis and their family members or caregivers.
The support groups provide an opportunity for members to connect with others who understand what they are going through and to gain support, insight, and guidance. The meetings are an open forum for members to raise and discuss whatever issues or concerns they are experiencing and topics they want to learn about from other members. The group meetings are led by a mental health professional and a peer with lived experience.
Two meetings are offered every month for the following groups:
- People living with paraplegia;
- People living with quadriplegia; and
- Family members or caregivers.
Learn more about and register for one of the support groups.
