New Funding Opportunity on Empowering Youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to Manage Their Healthcare Transitions

ACL's Administration on Disabilities (AoD) seeks to fund one five-year grant to create a national, person-centered, culturally-competent healthcare transition resource center for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD).

The center will work to increase self-determination, independence, and quality of life for youth with ID/DD as they transition into adult models of care. It will also provide resources for family members, guardians, and other support networks in order to assist youth with ID/DD with this transition.

This award will be made as a Project of National Significance as described in the Developmental Disabilities Act of 2000.
