The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a proposed rule, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: HHS Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters for 2022 and Pharmacy Benefit Manager Standards. The proposed rule includes standards for states, issuers, Exchanges, pharmacy benefit managers, direct enrollment entities, and the administrative appeals processes with respect to health insurance issuers and non-Federal governmental plan sponsors.
