March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month! To celebrate, the National Association of State Council on Developmental Disabilities is leading a campaign to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all facets of community life, and the work that remains to remove barriers to community living.

The social media campaign will provide resources to help organizations and individuals participate in DD Awareness Month. The theme for this year's campaign is "Moving Towards Change," which speaks to the many ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives and communities. Join NACDD on February 16 to learn more about the campaign and how you can get involved.

Submit your stories and resources

As part of the campaign, NACDD will be showcasing the excellent work that is being done to celebrate and improve the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. If you have any resources or materials that you think should be included in the campaign, please send them to Rafael Rolon-Muniz at rrolon-muniz@nacdd.org.

NACDD will feature the submissions in a resource guide that will be shared with audiences all across the country. Examples of resources include, but are in no way limited to, videos, toolkits, news articles, photos, personal stories, promising practices, etc.

Remember to use #DDawareness2021 throughout the month of March.
