Register for the webinar.

The Administration for Community Living and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services invite you to a webinar in our Promising Practices Series: The Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Settings Regulation: Where Are We Now and Where Are We Going on Thursday, January 27 from 4:00 PM EST - 5:30 PM EST.

The requirements of the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Settings Rule provide an opportunity to enhance the quality of HCBS and provide additional protections to individuals that receive services. With the transition period coming to a close on March 17, 2023, it’s important to understand both the current state of the transition and what will be needed going forward to ensure continued compliance.

This webinar will include an overview of the criteria for home and community-based settings and the heightened scrutiny process, as well as what is required of states to comply with the rule. It will also explore how ACL and CMS are collaborating to ensure successful implementation of the rule and how ACL is supporting our networks and encouraging engagement as states work toward implementation and beyond.

Speakers:

  • Alison Barkoff, Principal Deputy Administrator, Administration for Community Living
  • Melissa Harris, Deputy Director, Division of Long Term Services and Supports, Disabled and Elderly Health Program Group, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
