Every five years the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) is mandated by Congress to develop a Long-Range Plan (LRP) that outlines NIDILRR’s guiding principles, priorities, and focus areas for the next five years. Last year, NIDILRR initiated the development of its new 2024-2028 LRP and obtained comments and input from the field about current gaps and needs, experiences, and opportunities, to ensure that NIDILRR’s planning is relevant and responsive to the needs of the disability community.
Based on the feedback received, NIDILRR finalized the direction for the new LRP and will host a webinar to present the key themes and priorities for the new LRP.
If you would like to listen to the presentation live, please register for the webinar.
ASL interpreting and CART will be provided. The recording will also be made available to those who register afterwards.
For questions about the webinar, please email NIDILRRFuture@neweditions.net.
NIDILRR, part of ACL, generates new knowledge and promotes its effective use so that people with disabilities can perform activities of their choice in the community. NIDILRR also works to expand society’s capacity to provide full opportunities and accommodations for people with disabilities.
