The morning of June 5, 2018, the Elder Justice Coordinating Council hosted its spring meeting. Held at at the Securities and Exchange Commission building in Washington D.C., the meeting provided a day of updates and discussion on the future of elder justice. Established in 2010 by the Elder Justice Act, the EJCC coordinates activities related to elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation across the federal government.

On Tuesday, September 1, 2015, the National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center held a webinar on creating communities that are safe and respectful, provide support, and work toward quality of life for people living with dementia and their families. On Thursday, July 30, 2015, the National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center held a webinar about the prevalence and characteristics of people with dementia who live alone. Topics included the signs of self-neglect, intervention strategies, and the experiences of people with dementia who live alone.
