ACL's National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) is announcing two 2022 Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRP) Program grantees.  The purpose of the DRRP program is to plan and conduct research, demonstration projects, training, and related activities (including international activities) to develop methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technology that maximize the full inclusion and integration into society, employment, independent living, family support, and economic and social self-sufficiency of individuals with disabilities.

Direct Care Workforce Capacity Building Center will support recruitment, retention, and professional development of workers who provide home and community-based services.

ACL's National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) is announcing three 2022 Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERC) Program grantees. The planned project period for these grants is September 1, 2022 - August 31, 2027 with an estimated award amount of $925,000 per year for each grantee.

ACL's National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) is announcing four additional SCIMS Centers in FY 2022 to join the existing cohort of the Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems (SCIMS) program grantees. The planned project period for these four grants is September 1, 2022 - August 31, 2026, with an estimated funding amount of $490,000 per year for each grantee.

Replacing adaptive or accessibility items damaged during a disaster is an important part of the recovery process. It helps people maintain and/or re-establish their independence and quality of life after experiencing a disaster. FEMA assistance for specific accessibility items does not count toward Housing Assistance or Personal Property maximum awards.

New funding opportunities from ACL's National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) have been announced for the Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training (ARRT) Program. The ARRT grants are intended to increase the number of high-quality disability and rehabilitation researchers.
