Held at at the Securities and Exchange Commission building in Washington D.C., the meeting provided a day of updates and discussion on the future of elder justice. Established in 2010 by the Elder Justice Act, the EJCC coordinates activities related to elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation across the federal government.

The event continued in the afternoon, with the 4th annual Global Summit on Elder Justice convened by the National Adult Protective Services Association, the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, and the National Center for Victims of Crime.
