Falls Prevention Program Impact

The Falls Prevention program has connected thousands of older adults and people with disabilities with tools to prevent and mitigate the risk of falls and injuries from falls. Between 2014 and 2024, more than 238,000 people across the nation have participated in an evidence-based falls prevention program supported by ACL grantees and their partners.

Numerous studies have documented the efficacy of these programs in reducing falls and falls risk, as well as their potential for cost savings and positive return on investment.

Read how ACL grantees have impacted older adults.

Testimonials

The impact of falls prevention programs cannot be overstated and is often best explained by participants themselves. These are but a few examples collected by the National Falls Prevention Resource Center.
