Join us for Connect+Health, the first event in the Connect+Conversations series.

This session will focus on the health benefits of social connection and the health risks of isolation and loneliness. You will hear from expert researchers and have the opportunity to engage with people across the US and globally. This session is for anyone who is interested in creating a more connected society—regardless of where you live, how old you are, and whether you know a little or a lot about this topic!

  • Edward Garcia, MPH: Founder, Foundation for Social Connection
  • Kelli Harding, MD, MPH: Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University and author of "The Rabbit Effect: Live Longer, Happier, and Healthier with the Groundbreaking Science of Kindness."
  • Julianne Holt-Lunstad, PhD: Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Brigham Young University and leading researcher on the long-term health effects of social connection.
  • Marc Schulz, PhD: Professor of Psychology at Bryn Mawr College, Associate Director of the Harvard Study of Adult Development, and Senior Advisor for the Lifespan Research Foundation.
  • Louise Hawkley, PhD: Principal Research Scientist at NORC at the University of Chicago and leading researcher on the long-term health effects of social isolation and loneliness.
