The meeting of the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities (PCPID) scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, is being postponed due to the closure of federal offices for a National Day of Mourning honoring the memory of President George H.W. Bush.

The Elder Justice Coordinating Council (EJCC) brings together leaders from across the federal government to address issues of elder justice nationally. Council members include the leaders of federal departments, agencies, and entities administering programs related to abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation.

The Administration for Community Living's Administration on Aging announces two new funding opportunities in the areas of Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) and Falls Prevention. Both opportunities are designed to develop capacity for, bring to scale, and sustain evidence-based self-management or falls prevention programs for older adults and adults/older adults with disabilities.
