ACL recently awarded five grantees for innovative projects that will enhance the quality, effectiveness, and outcomes of nutrition services programs provided by the national aging services network. The grants total $1,197,205 for this year with a two-year project period. Through this grant program, ACL aims to identify innovative and promising practices that can be scaled across the country and to increase use of evidence-informed practices within nutrition programs.  The five organizations receiving grants and their projects are:

Recently, ACL’s Administration for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities awarded $1.85 million in funding to University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs). The funding includes a grant to establish a new training center supporting people with developmental disabilities and co-occurring serious mental illness, as well as grants to continue efforts to promote diversity and cultural competence across the developmental disabilities network through diversity fellowships and partnerships with minority-serving institutions.

ACL's Administration on Aging is announcing $1.5 million in funding over three years to help older Americans age in place by promoting access to home modifications as well as financial literacy for caregivers.    ACL is funding a $250,000 per year cooperative agreement with the University of Southern California's Leonard Davis School of Gerontology to address barriers to home modification access and service delivery.
