All submissions will be considered for inclusion in the Social Engagement Innovations Hub — a searchable clearinghouse of best practices and data-driven interventions, programs, and services promoting social connections across populations. Contributing to this hub will encourage adoption, replication, and awareness of programs to address social isolation and loneliness.

During this webinar, attendees will hear from an expert panel including representatives from the disability and aging networks at the national, state, and regional levels. The webinar discussion will highlight the importance of accessible resources, evacuation planning, and strategies to ensure critical services are available and inclusive before, during, and after extreme winter events.

This webinar will briefly touch upon the wide range of AT currently available and how it can be used to make a home accessible. Presenters from New York will detail how their cross-sector partnership was formed, what unique perspective each member brought to the team, and best practices and lessons learned from their pilot program.

The purpose of the Switzer Research Fellowship Program is to build research capacity by providing support to highly qualified individuals — including individuals with disabilities — to conduct research on rehabilitation, independent living, and other experiences and outcomes of people with disabilities.

Today’s veterans may have served in harm’s way to keep danger far from home, provided humanitarian assistance, supported disaster response — and many have done all three and more.

Through its Specialized Aging Support program, the Arc Jacksonville launched services in support of its community, including an interactive day center for those living with and at high risk of dementia, caregiver support and education, and trainings focused on I/DD and dementia. This program has established a more dementia-capable workforce that is equipped for this next phase of life for many individuals living with I/DD.

The next meeting of the RAISE Family Caregiving Advisory Council is November 13. The meeting will be virtual and open to the public. Registration is not required to attend.

Every October, we celebrate Residents’ Rights Month to affirm the rights of people living in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other long-term care (LTC) settings, and to raise awareness about the need for quality care and safety protections in these facilities.
