For people with disabilities, advancements in technology and engineering have the potential to knock down long-standing barriers to communication, employment, and full community participation. ACL’s National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) works to translate that potential into real-life solutions that increase choices, opportunities, and accommodations.

ACL dementia grantees often develop models and products used not only by their organizations, but also can be adopted by others working in the dementia field. This web seminar will feature two grantee programs: a model of coordinated dementia care, and dementia training for professional caregivers of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
